Christmas is one of my favorite Holidays!!! It’s the most expensive holiday, yet we all just wanna make others happy, doesn’t matter the price. My favorite buys are embroidery hand bags for loved ones. Everyone can always use a new hip bag. The other favorite gift is lanterns, it is given that someone needs a lantern to put candles in!

Oil painting vs Acrylic painting

Through the years of painting, I have been using so many different techniques to paint and advance my strokes to blending colors on canvas. I had notice that working with oil is so much easier to blend colors as long as it’s not dry. With acrylic paint, it dries so fast which makes you work faster. But you have to be an advance student or else the paint start to clump up. I do really love using acrylic because it dries fast and I don’t have to worry about waiting since I am always on a deadline. SOOOOOooo, acrylic painting for me is a must most of the time. Scroll painting

I’ve been working on this scroll painting for some time now. It’s really different from painting on canvas, the texture is delicate because it’s rice paper and you can’t afford to make a mistake with the watercolor paint. It is so fragile, yet so elegant. Must take years for this technique to be polish. I’m very careful and committed to making this piece beautiful!

Summer vacation is over!

Hello everyone, I took some time away from painting to build my studio in the basement. Yes, finishing the basement is quite hard and time consuming. I hope that everyone is well. The basement is still not finish yet, it’s like a painting in some ways. It will probably take another 2-3 months until it’s fully finish. I can’t wait to see it done, it’s gonna look great and give me some room to paint. My family will have the kitchen back! lol.
